From our Wrapper Studies collection, this layered skirt is a study in duality—exploring identity through the lens of self-expression, extensions, and transformation. Made entirely from discarded second-hand shirts, it features a two-tiered silhouette with raw hems and thoughtfully placed paneling that showcases hand-dyed reactions unique to each fabric’s original composition.
A standout detail is the repurposed shirt sleeves, cleverly reimagined as a side wrap/tie closure, adding movement and dimension to the skirt. Button-down elements—either at the side or center—retain relics of the garment’s original form, embedded in a new context.
This piece can be effortlessly dressed up or down—pair with a tee or tank for everyday ease, or elevate with statement accessories for a bolder look.
